At 3 am I woke
Sensed a shift
Wrote the phrase
"Go if you must"
She found him
Arms folded behind his head
As was his style
"He seemed to Ponder"
She queried
"Just another set of
Differential equations
Or a dream of Hawaii

SPRING IN LAGUNA
New life once more. Seems almost impossible considering the world-weary events we witness every day on the news. Yet here it is. As I drive through the canyon in early morning hours, I marvel at the green hills contrasting with an almost impossibly blue sky, yellow mustard flowers and golden poppies. The ocean emerges at the end of the road. How did I get so fortunate to be able to live in such a beautiful placc? I am grateful and pray that I never forget to say, "thank you for this," to whatever entity has made it possible.
