I started drawing and painting as a kid. My first grade teacher took me to the principal’s office along with a painting (in tempera) of a girl in a pink dress.  Praise was addictive and I probably drew girls in pink dresses for the rest of the year!

Leadership roles in the Arts


Founder/Advisor to Gallery Q which is an exhibition space within the City’s Senior/Community Center that provides year-round shows by Laguna Beach and other Orange County artists of all ages


Art Coordinator for the City of Laguna Beach Art Salon which is a weekly open studio setting for artists


Arts consultant to the Getty Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Laguna Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). Provided evaluation services for the museums' education departments and/or strategic planning for their Board of Directors


Art Instructor for the City of Laguna Beach during the Fall 2015 quarter.  "Painting with Passion," a course for adult artists.
